In the far east of Russia, situated between the Okhtsk Sea to the west and the Bering Sea to the east is the Kamchatka Peninsular located. With more than 200 vulcanos, 29 of witch are active- making it the greatest concentration of vulcanos anywhere on earth. Many of the vulcanos are around 3000 meter and offer good skiing with long descents.

Heliskiing in Kamchatka is about adventure in a wild and untouched land and is most suited to those who actively seek this kind of experience. Good powder is common but one should expect a normal week to throw most types of snow conditions imaginable. You do not have to be an expert, but it will help if you are used to ski off piste in various snow conditions.

Averaging around 1,300 vertical meters and up to OVER 3,000 meters, the runs here are long- very long. The terrain is very varied from one area to another with wide open bowls, big vulcanic faces, long steep couloirs, mellow cruisers and good tree skiing at lower elevations.

The operation base is hotel Antarius in Paratunka- the hot spring valley. Massage is available and there is  a sauna and natural hot springs on your doorstep. There are wifi in the hotel and the heli pic up are 50 meters away from the entrance.

The extremely powerful MI 8 helicopters are particularly well suited to the local heliskiing terrain and are rigorously serviced and maintained according to international standard. Both pilots and engineers are highly experienced with extensive mountain experience. Each group has its own helicopter and is accompanied by UIAGM certified guides as well as local russian guides.
